The Regional Housing Authority has agreed to act as sponsor/developer for the Oak Grove Village in Jefferson/Ashe County, North Carolina. The proposed development will be thirty (30) dwelling units of family and large family affordable housing . Twenty-six (26) of the units will be in townhouse duplex style, two (2) units will be duplex flats, and two units will be single family, one story. Two of the units will be fully outfitted for handicapped accessibility and use. Each dwelling unit will be supplied with quality kitchen appliances and will have space and hook ups for tenant supplied washers and dryers. Related improvements include a tot lot, a playground, walking trails, and a leased management office, community meeting room and maintenance facility located in close proximity. Architectural and land use planning will take advantage of existing indigenous growth on the wooded hillside.

Site

The polygon shaped site consists of approximately 8 acres located off Oak Grove Circle within the Town of Jefferson. The wooded hillside offers a buildable plateau area and is situated in an existing residential neighborhood.
